My friend over at A Silly Little Sparrow has come up with this idea for Tuesday. On Monday we admit to our less than perfect moments during the week, but now on Tuesday we get to step onto the stage for our applause on the things we did right! Click on the button above to participate in this!

This past week has been not-so-great for me. I haven’t felt too well and my patience has reflected that. I did capture some moments on film though that showed me that I get to “Toot My Horn”. While observing my children, I noticed something that I have done right!

They both have a love for books and a desire to learn more. Reading is not a chore, but it is FUN! Here I go, Tooting My Horn.

Not only do they both have a love for learning, but they love to share the new things that they have learned with each other. They will fight for hours over a single stuffed animal. Yet for some reason when they learn to connect a picture with a word that want to share it with each other. Toot-Toot, score one for the Mommy Teacher!

Most important Toot of all, praise and love. When they get it right, when they are sharing, when something deserves praise (like finally identifying the giraffe correctly in big sister’s book) they share not only their knowledge, but their pride and love with each other. Whoot-toot for the mom for setting the good example!
