The Current Time Is N:OW

I have 10 minutes until I need to leave.
I am already 5 minutes late.
How many more hours until dinner?
What time does the program start?

My life revolves around a series of numbers flashing from the clock on the wall, the watch on my arm or the screen on my phone. I’m constantly checking and rechecking to determine what I can accomplish or where I have failed. No matter how the numbers stack up, I’ve learned that it is never enough.

I’m forever in a state of limbo between “I can’t wait another minute” and “I wish I could stop a minute.” What if our clocks said something totally different though when we checked?

What if it let us know that the time is N:OW?

Confirmation that you are in the perfect place, at the exact time and you are doing exactly what you are supposed to be doing NOW. No numbers adding up to tell you that you have a limited amount of time to remain. No mental subtracting to find out how much longer before you have to move on.

Not only a symbol of being in the right place and time, but a direction to enjoy this gift of a moment designed specifically for you. Your N:OW.

Ecclesiastes 5:18-20

18 Here is what I have found out: the best thing we can do is eat and drink and enjoy what we have worked for during the short life that God has given us; this is our fate. 19 If God gives us wealth and property and lets us enjoy them, we should be grateful and enjoy what we have worked for. It is a gift from God. 20 Since God has allowed us to be happy, we will not worry too much about how short life is.

I like to refer to the scripture above as the “Carpe Diem Instructions” as it tells us that God has given us the precious gift of a time marked as “N:OW!”
We are gifted with a freedom to not concern ourselves with what time we have left to enjoy our world around us, but to “Seize The Day” with thankfulness and joy.

No matter if you feel rushed or late, the gift of “N:OW” is right in front of you to grasp onto and enjoy. You may consider that this is just another ordinary day full of ordinary tasks. It’s not just another day though…this is YOUR day given to you right now! Your only direction from your Creator who planned your days and time in advance is to “enjoy the gift.” Our moments can not be repeated. Each second is unique among all the other seconds of your life.

So, the current time is N:OW
