Time to “Toot Your Horn” with A Silly Little Sparrow!!! This is where we get to crow about the things we did RIGHT this week.

First I would like to point out that I did not procrastinate and actually did this post on Monday night before I went to bed so it wouldn’t get put off due to PB&J slinging fights and all the other craziness that goes on around here.

I had my first OB appointment last week and they have the scale to weigh yourself in the bathroom. When you give your “specimen” you also have to weigh yourself and write it on the cup. Big Toot for me…I was honest about the number reflected on the scale. Well, after I subtracted what my shoes, clothing, hairclip, earrings and gum in my mouth might possibly weigh!

Another Toot for me, I stepped outside my comfort zone and let God use me as His vessel. Don’t want to go into details too much, but there was a woman in the ultrasound waiting room with me that got bad news. I was able to comfort her (the best that I could) and pray with her. Normally, I have a hard time talking to strangers and prefer to bury myself in a book and shut the world out.

Big TOOT for not only me but The Man…because of our frugal ways and commitment to stay out of debt, we paid cash for a new (to us) van that was so desperately needed. It was kind of scary to hand over the wad of cash that we have worked so hard for and made so many sacrifices for (like this watch I had wanted to replace my Mickey Mouse watch that broke) but so worth it to sign the title free and clear. Even little savings through the year can add up to big things!
