Nana’s funeral was beautiful. We had to travel to West Texas and decided to make the trip by car. Many people were there, even friends of hers from High School and we were blessed to see the impact that she had made on people’s lives. Many funny stories of Nana’s were shared and there was as much laughter as there were tears. I think that shows a success of her life.

After the funeral and family visitation, I had the joy privilege of meeting one of my dearest friends on the journey back home. We have been friends for around 3 years but the distance between our homes was too great to ever arrange a meeting before. Luckily her home was right in the path. She opened her house to us and welcomed us Texas style. Big hugs and  lots of food. I wanted to stay forever. Her family has got to be one of the best I have ever met.

As if Bug hadn't had enough time in the car, little dood was able to talk her into one more ride.

I just love and adore this woman!

I did not get near enough pictures, but as Knitter said in her blog we had much more fun visiting than remembering to pick up a camera. We will have to make a way to get there again.
