I don't know what is going on with Bug's eyes here, but they looked so cute sitting together and NOT fighting.

Playing squishy face with Daddy. Please note yet ANOTHER bandaid on the head. This poor child is fated with my lack of grace.

Everything is going fairly well. The girls have recovered from their spoiled brat syndrome that they gained over Christmas. So I have some time to give some updates

Bug

I am proud to say that she is totally potty trained now. After she got the will power and her “Stay Dry Super Power” panties, she is good to go (pun intended) She is so good at going to the potty now, that she has asked to be let out of her room at least 30 times in the past 45 minutes to go “peepee”. The first ten times I fell for it, she would sit down, immediately announce that she was “all done” and “we pay (play) now” She has got that good combination of adorable and annoying down to a “T”

She had started asking for a train. Actually saying the words “I wanna twain” It is the first thing that she has been able to verbally ask for, so I had to get it for her. It arrived today and I explained that since she had asked for it and used her words, that I got it for her. She looked at me in complete awe. I could see her little mind making the connection of asking and receiving. She opened her mouth and I expected to hear “thank you” “i love you”…no, I heard “I wanna horse.” Yes, she has made the connection.

Belly

*Sigh* This poor child is having a rough time. She has 4 teeth coming through all at once and having quite a bit of trouble with the soreness of the mouth and her ambitious eating. She has taken to spinning in circles and add to it that somewhere in my DNA is a clumsy gene…she is doomed. She busted her head open again tonight. Thankfully, unlike last time, we did not need that miracle liquid stitch stuff. I am seriously considering some type of helmet or bubble wrap for her. I went through her baby book last night to look at her tiny, newborn foot prints. I just had to see if she was born with two left feet. Other than that, she is doing great. She is beginning to talk and it does not appear that she will suffer from the speech delay that Bug has. She is really getting into playing with torturing her big sister. I can’t tell you how big the smile is on my face to see them run to the bedroom and giggle for an hour…well, until someone pulled someone’s hair or wouldn’t share the pink My Little Pony (because you know that the other 10 My Little Ponies scattered in the floor are just not as good as that one!)

Me and The Man

With the talking and big kid act that the littlest one is exhibiting, we are having baby withdrawal. Especially when I took down the crib and moved it to the attic. I know that children are not like an empty milk carton in the fridge. You don’t have to run out and get more. We just miss the whole newborn thing; the miracle, the newness of life, sleepless nights, constant crying, bags under the eyes

His job is weathering the economy for right now and we continue to pray that he is “safe” in his job.

I have several projects and hobbies that I am working on, in addition to my normal major “spring” cleaning that I do this time of year. I am still working on the editing of my novel but all the holiday stuff has gotten me rather behind on it.

One of my good friends, is coming to town this weekend. We have known each other for 3 1/2 years. She has two boys. One was born a few weeks before Bug and the other was born on the same day as Belly (we talked while we were giving birth) I am looking forward to our visit and having two 3 year olds and two 1 year olds in the house should be no less than interesting.

Extended Family

My parents and sister (and her family) are doing well and we really enjoyed our time with them over the holidays. Bug has become very attached to my side of the family and asks constantly to go see “MiMi” “Poppy” and “Mammy”

My Nana is not doing well and needs prayers, as does those who are taking care of her and making decisions on her behalf.

My MIL is having minor (someone convince her of that) outpatient surgery and needs prayers (please pray for me as I deal with her too) My FIL is doing well.

_____________

That’s all for my updates right now.
