We had a good day yesterday. We spent the majority of our time over at MIL’s house for her birthday (Yeah, she celebrates for 3 days minimum.) If anyone finds out the secret phrase that would discourage a grandmother from giving the toddler 3 pieces of cake, let me know, OK? She decided that she did not want to go out and eat, but rather have something cooked for her at home. But, Old Mother Hubbard’s cupboard were bare except for the necessities (marshmallows, vinegar, pop tarts and green beans *huh*) So, D and I left the kids and went to the grocery store. As we were walking in, I noted that we were not working and there weren’t any kids so it must be a date. We ended up getting everything needed for chicken stir-fry. When we got back, D and Mikey cooked the meal while MIL and I sat picking out birthday and Christmas gifts for the girls out of her 20 mail order catalog a day stack. Dinner was wonderful! Afterwards, I ate a piece of cake in a dark corner of the house while everyone distracted Bug, so that she wouldn’t ask for another piece of cake (You know since “someone” had already given her 3 pieces before dinner) We each took turns with our piece of cake and hiding spots.

When we did finally get home, both girls went straight to bed. The nice effects of the sugar rush is the pending sugar crash. I had picked up a new body wash on our date and went to try it out. Vanilla Honey Yogurt. Sam came running in, sat and stared at me in the bathtub licking his chops like I was scrubbing up with raw hamburger meat. Maybe it is not such a good idea to bathe with food scented products when you have a carnivore living in the house. Then I got on the computer and played with Facebook. Yes, I am now one of the millions who caved in and got a Facebook account. I did not use my real name, as suggested, because I just don’t think it is a great idea to publish my real name in such a public place. But, I am having fun with it anyways. I am now collecting friends like trading cards (Does anyone have a “Tina” I will trade you a “Beth” for it) I am thinking that Facebook is nothing more than a public ego trip. When you click on people you can’t read anything about them, but you can see how many friends that they have and compare it to the number of friends that you have. So far, my ego is low but it is getting better.

Today the girls and I are going shopping. I earned some extra money, earned it the hard way (see video below) The roughest part was finding out that D was going to give it to me anyways, he just wanted to see if I would actually do it. Of course I am going to do it, I never met a dare I didn’t like.

I ended up doing it twice for $200. After the eye tearing, nose running and hiccups stopped, I started wishing I had some ice cream in my house. Was it worth it? Yes. Would I do it again? Yes. By the way, the laughter you hear is actually my phone ringing. It is Belly’s laugh as my ringtone. To the person who was on the other line…yes, I should have gone double or nothing and I have told him to put some aside for you to score some extra cash. Then we will leave D & T with A & I & G & N and hit the mall. So, today is a shopping day *Woot*
Have a good weekend everyone!!!

  1. Loved the video! Just be glad it wasn’t a habanero pepper!

  2. O.M.G. Even though I was ‘there’, it is still funny!

I have to hide with cake all the time. G just likes the ‘fosting’ and leaves the actual cake for me. So sweet right?!

Enjoy your shopping, I’d have done it too!

  3. I forgot to add…

    Happy 10 Months Belly <3!!!!!!!!!

  4. LMAO! I had to come watch it again…G said “her is sad! Her crying mommy!”…was the aftermath as bad as the storm?

Most importantly...what did you think? Do you have questions and concerns or request for a certain post?
