Three, not for me!

I am officially making this statement. Once. For those who saw the wonderful post that my sister left or passed me on the road and saw where she had written multiple messages in the dust on my van windows (I am now inspired to run the van through the car wash), I am not having triplets, NOT ME! (This is the truth and not a cleverly disguised truth like I do on “Not Me Mondays”) As far as I know, since my first ultrasound is not until June 12th, this is single dwelling and not a duplex or multi-tenant unit.

This rumor was started due to the fact (haha – pregnancy rumor +”due”) that we went to visit her yesterday and for some crazy reason, I look about 5 months along. I have already busted out the maternity clothes and am dreading what I will look like at 7 months. This has led to much ribbing from friends and family that there is more than one baby. (I personally don’t buy into that theory. I actually did research and found out that it is normal after having several children close together, something about lost stomach muscles) Other than that, we had a great time visiting (BTW sis, I left the alphabet cards and Bug was pretty distraught about that) The girls (and I) had fun playing on her trampoline.

Not a real clear picture because of the netting (required to keep small children from launching themselves into neighbor's yards) but look at the air that Bug is getting!!

Belly was mostly content to lie down and be bounced around like hot grease in a skillet. We learned that the rounder you are, the better bounce you get!

I took a couple of pictures of my sister’s large polar bear dog that we all love!

Ever since The Great Shedding Event of '09, where my husband was covered in beautiful white tumbleweeds, she is a lot more enjoyable to be around! Isn't she a beaut?

We had some fun time at the park where the girls learned about gravity and cause/effect.

What goes up...

What goes up...

must come down.

must come down.

Today I am also a guest blogger over at A Silly Little Sparrow. She had asked me to write a blog and I am so honored and humbled that she chose to showcase my blog today.

In a lot of my posts I share daily sights and weave an analogy out of them to give you something to think about. Today, I am going to give you my daily observation and let you come up with the analogy.

I have a beautiful rose bush in my backyard that covers about 30 feet of fence row. When I stand inside or on my deck, I see this rose bush covered in beautiful white roses. They all look perfect from that distance and the rose bush seems uniform in all the roses blooming. However, when I got up close to the rose bush to cut some roses for my table, I noticed that every single rose was flawed in some way. Some had browning leaves, some had bug bites, some were just withered. Upon close observation and scrutiny, I realized that not one single rose was perfect. It was only when I watched from a distance and not being close to the bush, that every rose looked perfect.

What does that make you think of?

Also, I have noticed an increase in my visitor traffic, but I have not had the pleasure of meeting many of you. Why don’t you leave me a small comment today letting me know who you are and where you are from.

  1. Hi. I’m the ‘other’ Amanda.

I blog as well, over on blogspot. I have 2 boys(who look to be about the same age as your girls!) and am wife to a United States Airman.

I like to talk about weird things. Like candy, butt-nose people, crazy siblings, electric bills, sidewalk chalk, dogs, baby names and lastly, myself.

It was good to ‘meet’ you.

    😛

Most importantly...what did you think? Do you have questions and concerns or request for a certain post?
