Dear Dan,
This past week I took the girls to the beach.
To watch the awesome power of a wave. Unstoppable and Relentless in its direction. To see a bird fly effortlessly across the surface. This is worth living for.
To watch the sunrise in its brilliance of color and to anticipate the day that is coming. This is worth living for.
To watch the sunset and relive the day. To turn towards bed with the knowledge of another day coming. This is worth living for.
To watch Annie talk animatedly about the wonders of the beach. To see her delight in the small things. This is worth living for.
To watch Isabella. The way she worries about everyone and when she is content that everything is right in the world, let go and be a child. This is worth living for.
To watch Gracie with her eyes of wonder at the bigness of it all. This is worth living for.
To be surrounded by family that loves you for you. This is worth living for.
To make an impression. No matter how small. This is worth living for.
