Here’s what we have been up to lately.
I got a new man in my life. I know it is too soon, but one look into his hazel eyes and I was captivated.
Always happy to see me, listens intently and eats my hairbrushes.
Played photographer to the marriage of some dear friends who have touched my life beyond compare. As a couple they have shown me grace and love through suffering. As a family they have shown me strength in faith. Many times as I looked through my camera, my breath caught at the power of their connection and love that was so apparent. The whole family brought me under their wing long ago and many times I have found myself held up in my darker days by their belief in me.
Worked with the girls on channeling their inner farm women (before city life claims them too much) Learning that grass stains on your feet is better than a pedicure any day. Discovering that a good romp in the sandbox beats the snot out of a scented bubble bath.
Had a photo shoot with one of my favorite little girls plus a wonderful cookout with her parents (The horses were at her place) It was great to sit and talk in the company of this family. To be with those who understand me, love me and know what I am going through some days. Watching our children running as free as the horses; kicking up their heels as the open spaces.
More horses cause you know I can’t get enough of horse photography (Especially after I heard my “life” song: Wild Horses by Natasha Bedington)
“All I want is the wind in my hair
To face the fear but not feel scared
wild horses I wanna be like you
going closer to the wind, I’ll run free too
Wish I could recklessly love like I’m longing to
I wanna run with the wild horses
Run with the wild horses
I see the girl I wanna be
Riding bare-back, care-free
Along the shore
If only that someone was me
Jumping head-first, head-long
Without a thought
To act and damn the consequence
How I wish it could be that easy
But fear surrounds me like a fence
I wanna break free”

Wow, my beautiful friend your talents awe and amaze me. I felt tears pricking my eyes with every photo. To know your happy, feeling fuffilled, being loved gives me so much joy and Tucker isn’t bad either. 🙂
Plus that song is perfect for this stage in your life….ride into JOY my friend!!!!
Isn’t it a great song???
It’s been too long since we talked. We need to catch up soon. Thank you as always for your loving encouragement and willingness to look through my eyes and step in my path and see what the walk is about. Love you lady!
Look at the adorable chub on that baby! She’s almost as cute as your girls. Your photography is still fantastic, too. Do post more of it!
I’ve always loved that song too but by a different artist whose name escapes me at the moment. I’m glad you’re getting out there. You seem happy!
Thank you for visiting with me. I know the Rolling Stones did a song by the same title, but the lyrics are different. Now I am off to search if anyone else has done this specific one!
