Covered Roads

There is something about covered roads that encourage the traveler to go a little slower as they journey.

I believe it is because when you look down these paths, you can see the end.

A stopping place in the journey.

When we are traveling the road of life, we don’t see these finish lines. We know when it began, but we never know when the end is. There are no trees to mark our progression, no end to the tunnel. So we speed through this “road” eager to see what is around the next bend and never taking note of where we are.

Never stopping to enjoy those final moments before we reach our destination.

Take a moment today to stop and enjoy where you are on your road, because this road doesn’t stretch forever.

  1. You are so right. I am going to do just that.

  2. That is what I am doing today… Thanks for the reminder.

Most importantly...what did you think? Do you have questions and concerns or request for a certain post?
